GLOSSYBOX is a monthly beauty subscription service that directly delivers 5-6 beauty products to your doorstep. You can expect a variety of beauty staples inside your subscription box starting from makeup, skincare, haircare, and even body-care products.
A GLOSSYBOX subscription allows you to discover new and unique beauty products without needing to step out of your house. One thing to note is that GLOSSYBOX goes out of its way to include products that are not on the mainstream media. So, you can stumble upon niche, unique products from all over the world that may have the potential of becoming a staple in your beauty routine.
I have been a subscriber of GLOSSYBOX since last year and I have been very impressed by its service. I like how every month follows a specific theme and so, there are very low chances of you receiving the same product in two different boxes. You can choose a month-by-month subscription plan or you can opt for a prepaid subscription plan of 3, 6, or even 12 months at a discounted price. GLOSSYBOX also offers gift subscriptions so you can surprise your besties with a bunch of beauty products without needing to spend a lot of money.
Subscription boxes from GLOSSYBOX always have a very high retail value than what you are paying for. If you were to shop for the same products from Sephora or Ulta Beauty, you would obviously need to pay much higher than $21. GLOSSYBOX allows you to discover new brands and beauty products on a budget. You really can’t go wrong with a GLOSSYBOX subscription.

Unboxing The November 2021 “Beauty Desires” GLOSSYBOX
I love that all the five beauty products come in this cute pink box. It is made using thick cardboard so you can use it for storing or gifting. The box is neither too big nor too small - you can always find space for it on your table, shelf, or cupboard.
Upon opening the box, you will find a big pamphlet on top of the beauty products. The cover of the pamphlet tells you the theme of this month’s subscription box. It gives you hints about what the beauty products inside are all about.
The theme for this month’s box was “Beauty Desires” and it is said to include shimmers, pigments, a cleansing balm, a perfume, and limited edition gifts that are perfect for the holiday season.
So, the pamphlet looks like this. On the top left, you will find a small message from GLOSSYBOX regarding the theme of this month.
For November 2021, GLOSSYBOX has decided to include products that will make your skin look fresh and natural while giving a subtle glam and sexy look. The pamphlet also includes detailed descriptions of all the five products inside the box.
The shop link, as well as the retail price, is given below each description. You will also find top tips for applying the products.
Manifest Bronze Eyeshadow Palette
The first product is this gorgeous “Manifest Bronze Eyeshadow Palette” from Chella. It is a travel-size product with a retail value of $20. This eyeshadow palette has four shades. Three of them are shimmers while the other one is a matte eyeshadow.
The shades are called Charisma, Radiant, Purpose, and Intention. All four shades are super pigmented and will stay on all night. You can easily elevate your look using this eyeshadow palette. I like how the palette has neutral brown shades that go with almost every occasion. It makes you look radiant and glowy, even during the dull winter days.
Satin Soft Blurring Primer & Finishing Fix
The next product is this full-size “Satin Soft Blurring Primer & Finishing Fix” from Figs & Rouge with a retail value of $52. I think this is a great product, especially for winter when the weather is extremely dry and our face tends to look very cakey when we apply foundation. The blurring effect of the primer has a really nice finish. It helps to minimize pores, remove blemishes, and make your makeup last all day long.
This primer has a silicone-free gel-like formula that absorbs excess oil, giving you a sheer matte finish. It blends out very well and I love how a little goes a long way.
The primer makes your skin look very smooth and plump, even after applying foundation. You might want to apply the primer right after cleansing your face for the best results.
Daily-C Balancing Cleansing Balm
The third product is the “Daily-C Balancing Cleansing Balm” by Vitabrid C12. I like how it is suitable for all skin types, be it oily or dry. The main ingredient of this product is Kahai oil which is a rich source of vitamin E.
It is also infused with active vitamin C so it might help to brighten as well as reduce pigmentation on the skin. You can expect this cleansing balm to improve the texture and appearance of your skin, which helps to maintain a youthful appearance.
Other than keeping your face moisturized and balanced, it also melts away stubborn makeup and removes impurities from your skin. The cleansing balm has an oil-like texture when applied to the skin.
All you have to do is gently apply it to your dry skin in circular motions and then, wash your face using lukewarm water to get every last bit of makeup or impurities off your skin.
It comes with a spatula that is attached to the lid so you can easily scoop out a generous amount without using your fingers. This makes it very easy to apply, especially for individuals with long nails.
Paper by Commodity
The fourth product is this fragrance called Paper by Commodity. This is a relatively expensive perfume - the full-size fragrance is worth $105.
In this month’s subscription box, you will receive the deluxe mini version that offers 5ml for $10. It has quite a pleasant smell. The fragrance has a deep, woody smell but after letting it sit on your skin for some time, you will notice that it has sweet notes as well.
The fragrance is very lightweight and sinks into your skin very quickly. You might want to spray it on your wrists, neck, and elbow creases to make it last all day long.
Oui Cherie Lip Oil
The last product in my subscription box is the full-size “Oui Cherie Lip Oil” by The Beauty Crop - worth $12. Now, I love lip oils so I was very excited to see this product.
The packaging is super cute. It has cherries printed all over the lid and the body is completely transparent so you can easily see how much is left inside the tube.
I loved the formula of the lip oil. It is very hydrating and makes your lips feel soft and smooth. I like how the formula is not sticky at all. It really does feel like you have not applied anything on your lips.
An interesting feature about this product is that it slightly tints your lips based on the pH level of your lips. So, your lips might look a bit rosy in the most natural way possible.
My Final Thoughts on the November 2021 GLOSSYBOX
This month’s subscription box had a retail value of $142, which is great for a $21 monthly subscription service. I really did like all the products from this box. I liked how GLOSSYBOX included lots of winter beauty essentials such as a cleansing balm, a lip oil, and a hydrating primer. I also liked how three out of the five products were full-size products.
The cleansing balm works wonders for removing stubborn makeup. It made my skin feel very fresh and soft. I did not need to use any additional makeup removers. The oil formula completely washes away when you rinse your face with water so, you do not have to worry about it clogging your pores or giving you breakouts.
The lip oil is great for keeping my lips hydrated throughout the day. It makes my lips look very healthy and luscious. Plus, it is transfer-proof and does not feel sticky at all. The primer from Figs & Rouge has now become a staple in my everyday beauty routine.
I like how it absorbs excess oil and gives you a matte sheer look after applying foundation and other makeup. The blurring effect really does help to smoothen your skin so that your foundation looks like your actual skin.
On the other hand, the fragrance by Commodity has a unique smell. It is not like regular perfumes. It has a very woody, cedarlike fragrance that is not too overpowering.
It is quite interesting how the fragrance changes to a slightly sweet and neutral smell once applied to the skin. I liked how it came in the deluxe mini version so carrying it inside your bag is not a hassle.
Moreover, the spray tube makes it very easy to apply the perfume to your skin, especially when you are on the go. The eyeshadow palette by Chella was also a great choice. It has radiant shades that make your eyes pop, even during the cold winter days. You can easily create an elegant, bold, and radiant look using a combination of the four shades.
